This rare print is mounted to a slick white board characteristic of what Weston used in the early 1930s. Numbered "#6 26" in pencil in the lower left corner of the mount in an unknown hand, possibly Weston's.
Edward Weston noted having made only 22 prints of this image. He considered it "one of my earliest and finest rocks."1of 2
