Adams’ involvement in nature conservation efforts is well-known, but rarely does he make such explicit reference to industry. This prescient commentary is has become increasingly relevant in the intervening 80 years since he made this prewar image. This print is a very rare early example, printed in the mid-1960’s, signed in pencil mount recto with Carmel studio stamps BMFA 7 & 8, title and date on the reverse of a Hi-Art Illustration board mount.
